Required Candidate Profile

Required Qualifications, Experience: • Master’s degree in Statistics/ Applied Statistics/ Biostatistics or related field • Candidates with minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in statistical analysis of data from large, long-term, observational epidemiological research studies or relevant sector is preferred • Strong understanding of fundamental statistical concepts and methodologies • Candidates with experience in managing demographic surveillance would be given priority • Strong command in written and oral English is required Technical/Functional Skills: • Experience in database development and administration • Good knowledge of statistical disclosure control methods and tools • Good knowledge in statistical softwares like STATA, R • Good knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Role

• Coordinate with the project team of biostatisticians and/or (statistical) programmers and share the knowledge • Work closely with team to provide technical support in clinical and laboratory-oriented study design, sample size calculations and endpoint selection • Contribute to technical presentations/posters and publications of new methodologies • Work on significant and unique issues that require exercising independent judgment and developing/adapting methodology • Help to develop research proposals and protocols, specifically by determining the sample size and power calculations • Clean the datasets and prepare those for analyses • Write the program codes and validate statistical analyses • Work with the project specific teams to prepare reports and write manuscripts • Develop internal capacity in biostatistics via short courses and seminars • Comply with all institute policies and SOPs as well as regulatory requirements for the programming, analysis and reporting of research projects • Analyzing data, making charts, tables, and other visuals • Develop codes in STATA or in R for computing selected indicators • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
