Prof. A.S.M. Nawshad Uddin Ahmed is a highly respected pediatrician in Bangladesh. He earned his MBBS degree in Medicine, Surgery, and Gynecology from Chittagong University in 1982. He went on to earn his MCPS in Pediatrics from the Bangladesh College of Physicians & Surgeons in 1998, followed by his DCH in Pediatrics from the University of Dhaka in 1999, and his FCPS in Pediatrics from the Bangladesh College of Physicians & Surgeons in 2001. Dr. Ahmed has held various positions throughout his career, including Assistant Professor at Kumudini Women’s Medical College from 2003-2005, Associate Professor at Kumudini Women’s Medical College from 2005-2010, and Associate Professor at the Bangladesh Institute of Child Health from 2010-2012. He is currently a Professor of Pediatrics at the Bangladesh Institute of Child Health, a position he has held since 2012. He has been involved in numerous professional activities throughout his career, including serving as a member of the Bangladesh Pediatric Association, the Bangladesh Medical Association, and the Bangladesh College of Physicians & Surgeons. He has also provided academic services as a thesis supervisor, examiner, and course coordinator for many students. Dr. Ahmed is highly regarded in the field of neonatal health and pediatrics. He has published 90+ articles in renowned peer-reviewed journals, like The Lancet and PLOS One. He has been involved in various national and international research projects, which have been supported by different funding organizations.
