Required Candidate Profile

• Masters in biological sciences • Interest in teaching and promoting science education • Knowledge about current outreach activities of CHRF • Knowledge about basic laboratory equipment and procedures • Outstanding interdisciplinary communication skills • Excellent proficiency in both Bangla and English • Experience in conducting research studies and writing reports

Role

• Execute basic analysis for research studies, follow good laboratory practices and comply with quality control in all procedures • Work closely with the CHRF team involved in the ‘Building Scientists of Bangladesh (BSB)’ program, and help in planning, executing, and coordinating activities as required • Plan and organize science camps for high school students as a part of the BSB program. Travel to those schools to organize the events if necessary. • Help in content creation of materials for training courses to teach microbiological and molecular techniques. • Give lectures in training courses and demonstrate the training topics to students from undergraduate, high school, and secondary school levels. • Work closely with the science communications team in managing the CHRF website and social media channels and maintaining liaison with partner institutes • Take care of the laboratory equipment for training and collaborate with the lab management team • Keep track of all logistics needed for the science camps and training sessions and organize the events with help of the CHRF team • Write training and research reports to be presented to donors and partner institutes
