About CHRF 

Child Health Research Foundation (CHRF) is a nonprofit research organization in Bangladesh working to prevent infections, save lives, and build the next generation of scientists. Our multidisciplinary teams combine population research, hospital and community surveillance, diagnostics, pathogen genomics, and implementation science to generate evidence that informs clinical practice and public health policy. The opportunity 

Child Health Research Foundation (CHRF) is seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer to design, develop, implement, and maintain enterprise-grade desktop applications, web-based systems, and mobile applications. The successful candidate will lead the development of healthcare, laboratory, research, and ERP system while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performance solutions. 

This role requires strong expertise in software architecture, full-stack development, mobile application development, database design, API integration, cloud deployment, and modern software engineering practices.

Required Candidate Profile

What we are looking for 

  1. Master’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science & engineering, IT or a related field from a reputed university.
  2. Candidates with exceptional technical skills and proven project portfolios may receive special consideration.
  3. 5–8 years of professional software development experience.
  4. Proven experience developing enterprise desktop, web, and mobile applications.
  5. Experience in healthcare, laboratory, research, ERP, and inventory systems. 

 

Technical Skills 

  1. Programming: C#, ASP.NET Core/MVC, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, PHP, Dart, SQL
  2. Front-end: HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, Tailwind CSS, React.js, Next.js, jQuery, AJAX
  3. Back-end: ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework, Laravel, CodeIgniter, Node.js, Express.js, Java Spring Boot, REST APIs
  4. Mobile: Flutter (Android & iOS)
  5. Database: Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL (Database Design, Stored Procedures, Query Optimization)
  6. AI-Assisted Development: Claude Code, Claude AI, OpenAI API, AI Agent Development, AI-Powered Coding & Automation, Prompt Engineering
  7. Tools & Technologies: Git, GitHub, IIS, Cloud Deployment, API Integration, JWT/OAuth Authentication, AI API Integration (OpenAI/Claude) 

Salary

Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Benefits include a contributory provident fund, festival allowances (Eid, Puja, Christmas, and Baishakhi) and a two days weekend, in accordance with CHRF policies.

Role

What you will do 

  1. Design, develop, implement, and maintain desktop, web, and mobile applications.
  2. Develop enterprise software including Laboratory Information Management System, Hospital Management System, Demographic and Surveillance Data Collection Systems, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and Research Data Collection Systems.
  3. Build responsive and user-friendly web applications using modern front-end technologies.
  4. Develop scalable backend services and RESTful APIs.
  5. Develop Android and iOS mobile applications using Flutter.
  6. Design secure database architecture and optimize database performance.
  7. Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, AI services, and external systems.
  8. Implement authentication, authorization, role-based access control, and security best practices.
  9. Collaborate with researchers, laboratory teams, and stakeholders to analyze requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  10. Write clean, maintainable, reusable, and well-documented code.
  11. Review code, maintain development standards, and provide technical guidance to junior developers.
  12. Perform testing, debugging, deployment, maintenance, and production support.
  13. Prepare technical documentation throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  14. Ensure application performance, scalability, reliability, and security.
  15. Participate in Agile/Scrum development activities and collaborate with team members to deliver projects on time.
  16. Stay up to date with emerging technologies and use AI-powered development tools to improve productivity and software quality.
