In October 2025, Bangladesh launched one of the largest typhoid conjugate vaccine (TCV) introduction campaigns to date, where over 40 million children were vaccinated across the country. And this year, at the International Conference on Typhoid and Other Invasive Salmonelloses in Cambodia, CHRF had the opportunity to proudly share our work on typhoid and its impact on a global stage.
At the conference, organised by the Coalition Against Typhoid (CaT) of the Sabin Vaccine Institute, CHRF presented its work, sharing insights from Bangladesh with researchers, policymakers, and public health experts.
Since the 1990s, CHRF has been at the forefront of typhoid research, measuring disease burden, tracking antimicrobial resistance, and using genomics to map its spread. Through decades of data generation, collaboration and advocacy, this work has helped shape policies and advance efforts to protect Bangladeshi children. Platforms like this conference help carry the impact forward, connecting local work to a global mission.
