Dr. Arif Mohammad Tanmoy, Associate Scientist at CHRF, was invited to present CHRF's research at the 6th International Conference of Biotechnology on Health and Agriculture (ICBHA-2025), organized by the Global Network of Bangladeshi Biotechnologists (GNOBB)!

Held on September 26–27, 2025, the conference brought together renowned scientists, experts and policy makers to exchange ideas on innovative solutions in health and agricultural biotechnology under the theme “Environmental Challenges and Mitigation for Sustainable Health and Agriculture.”

As an invited speaker, Dr. Tanmoy shared his research on “Evolution of pneumococcus in Bangladesh: insights from genomic analysis.” He highlighted that this study is the first comprehensive genomic analysis of pneumococcal population in Bangladesh, demonstrating how it supports the introduction of PCV10 and showing that there has been no significant increase in cases caused by serotype 19A. He also emphasized the urgent need for rational antibiotic use.

We are grateful to GNOBB for inviting us and providing the opportunity to present CHRF’s work. It was an honor to be part of the effort to build capacity and raise awareness of the latest trends in biotechnology to improve health, agriculture, and the environment in Bangladesh.
