Today, we celebrated the introduction of the Typhoid Conjugate Vaccine (TCV) in Bangladesh at CHRF!

It was not just a day of achievement — it was deeply emotional. Every member of CHRF has had a part to play in this decades-long advocacy that made this moment possible.

Three decades ago, this journey began from data generation to interpretation, from years of research and advocacy to finally implementation. We will be working on measuring the impact of the TCV introduction in Bangladeshi children, completing the full cycle of vaccination.

For many, this milestone is deeply personal. It represents decades of dedication, countless hours of research, and an unshakable belief that change was possible. For some, it’s even more meaningful — as they now take their own children to receive the very vaccine they had advocated to make possible.

This celebration was not only about what we have done or achieved today — it is also about what comes next. Now, our focus turns to measuring the vaccine’s impact and carrying this mission forward, together. We have reached a remarkable milestone, but our work continues.
