Strengthening the Global Fight Against Antimicrobial Resistance!

Our colleagues at CHRF — Dr. Mohammad Saiful Islam Sajib and Mr. Adittya Arefin — recently joined the Antimicrobial Stewardship Capacity-Strengthening Course by CAMO-Net South Africa.

Held at Groote Schuur Hospital, Cape Town, the week-long program gathered professionals and students from around the world to exchange knowledge on tackling AMR. Participants explored antibiotic stewardship, outbreak investigation, effective AMR communication and infection prevention and control. The course concluded at Eh!Woza, a community and public engagement organization in South Africa, highlighting the importance of community engagement in tackling AMR and understanding the cultural factors that shape health-seeking behaviors.

At CHRF, we are excited to apply these insights to promote responsible antibiotic use and strengthen infection prevention and control in Bangladesh — advancing the global fight against AMR.
