Today, 16 Building Scientists for Bangladesh (BSB) trainees took the stage to share what they learned and the journeys that brought them here!
Our high school trainees from the Research in Biological Sciences for Beginners (RBSB) program reminded us that science is more than experiments and data; it is driven by curiosity, courage, and the willingness to ask questions.
Ashna, Zayaan, Shayanto, Ariyana, and Siam presented together as a team. Siam made the journey from Narsingdi to Dhaka every single day to attend the program, a testament to his love for science. Although their teammate Junaina couldn’t join us in person, her recorded presentation ensured she remained part of this special milestone.
Nabiha, Dhruba, Amina, Fariha, and Rwidhima brought creativity to the stage by comparing life sciences to FIFA, showing that teamwork, strategy, and thoughtful analysis are just as essential in the lab as they are on the field.
Our Next-Generation Pathogen Sequencing (NGS) trainees also shared inspiring reflections. Satadru explained how antimicrobial susceptibility testing helps determine which antibiotics will work, while genomics reveals why resistance develops in the first place. Nazif, Amit, Samanzaar, and Nabil spoke about rediscovering their passion for science through hands-on laboratory experience.
Thank you to all our graduates for inspiring us with your curiosity, perseverance, and enthusiasm. We are proud to have been part of your journey and can’t wait to see the impact you will make as the next generation of scientists!
