The World Society for Pediatric Infectious Diseases (WSPID) hosted the 14th World Congress in Bangkok, Thailand from 28–31 October 2025 and we are delighted to share that Ms. Krishna Banik Pushpita, Data Scientist at CHRF, participated in the event!

The congress provided a platform for experts from around the world to exchange knowledge, discuss challenges, and explore solutions in pediatric infectious diseases, reflecting WSPID’s mission to improve the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of infectious diseases in children, particularly in low- and middle-income countries.

The event was packed with interactive sessions, symposiums, plenaries, and E-Poster presentations, covering topics from neonatal and respiratory infections to global health challenges and emerging public health threats. During the E-Poster presentation, Ms. Pushpita shared insights from CHRF's research on the genomic epidemiology of Streptococcus pneumoniae serotype 2, highlighting how genomic data can help track and understand the spread of this pathogen.

We’re truly grateful to have been part of such an inspiring platform — sharing research, connecting with brilliant minds, and exploring new ways to collaborate for a healthier future for children everywhere!
