Diagnostic Biochemistry Training

It encompasses in-patient & out-patient visits to a pediatric hospital, aseptic sample collection, hands-on ELISA for diagnostic tests, use of automated analysers for routine tests (e.g., blood glucose, creatinine, etc.), and validation, QC & calibration of diagnostic machines.

Program Outline & Learning Objectives

  • In-patient & out-patient visits of the largest paediatric hospital
  • Aseptic sample collection in hospitals
  • Hands-on ELISA for diagnostic tests
  • Chemiluminescent immunoassay for diagnostics
  • Use of automated analysers for routine tests (eg blood glucose, creatinine, etc.)
  • Liver function tests
  • Kidney function tests
  • Validation, QC & calibration of diagnostic machines
  • Laboratory safety protocols and waste disposal
Duration: 4 days
Location: CHRF-HQ and Dr. MR Khan Shishu Hospital and Institute of Child Health.
