The "Python Essentials for High Schoolers" course is a 6-day program designed to provide a practical and in-depth understanding of Python programming, with a special focus on its application in Life Sciences through hands-on activities, capstone projects, and interactive discussions.

By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:
1. Understand the role of programming in solving real-world problems in life sciences.
2. Understand the basic terminologies of python programming.
3. Learn how to use Google Colab as their coding environment.
4. Work with Python data types, operators, and data structures such as lists, tuples, sets, and dictionaries.
5. Apply control structures (if-else statements and loops) and define functions.
6. Learn foundational statistical concepts for analyzing biological data.
7. Build skills in working with real-life datasets.
8. Build practical skills for visualizing epidemiological data with Python.
9. Utilize AI tools to enhance coding capabilities in life science data analysis.
10. Gain hands-on experience with exercises, take home assignments and capstone project.
