COVID-19 and Bangladesh: We are in it together, we must fight together

29 November, 2021

We must remember that it is the people who make this land Bangladesh

COVID-19 has taken the entire world by storm. It is a rare time when all beings of all countries, nations, religions, the rich, the poor – all share the same anxiety, the same fear, the same disease. We are all in it together and it is the responsibility of each of us to ensure that we fight through this together. Standing already at the end of March, we do not know how much longer this fight will last. It has been specifically difficult for the disadvantaged, for the marginalized.

Even before grasping the horrid extents of the situation, CHRF closed physical research wings end of March 16 and ensured that all employees receive their March-salary well ahead of time (March 21). We are now trying to ensure early payment for April too. We request all other entities, companies, individuals, small or big, to also pay the salaries in full, and if possible earlier than normal, specifically to the people who earn the least.

We must remember, our country is just a piece of land, it is the people who make it Bangladesh.
