COVID-19: Physical research workstations are closed but patient and diagnostic services remain uninterrupted

29 November, 2021

Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). From December 2019 to 19 March 2020, there have been at least 218,000 cases worldwide, and at least 8,800 deaths. Taking into account the COVID-19 situation, to restrict the further spread of the disease and to protect the safety of our healthcare workers and patients, the Child Health Research Foundation (CHRF) has decided to temporarily close all research studies till 31 March 2020.

However, we cannot let COVID-19 blur other dangerous endemic diseases like dengue, typhoid, birth asphyxia, non-COVID-19 respiratory illnesses, etc. Therefore, regular patient service and patient diagnostic wings of CHRF will not only remain open but also strengthened to maintain the utmost service and safety.
