Prof. Ruhul Amin elected as the President of South Asian Paediatric Association

CHRF is thrilled to share the exciting news of Prof. Dr. Md. Rahul Amin, our very own Treasurer, has been elected as President of of South Asian Pediatric Association (SAPA) for SAARC countries.

Dr. Amin graduated from Dhaka Medical College in 1974 and obtained the specialist qualification of FCPS in Paediatrics and Child Health in 1989 from Bangladesh College of Physicians & Surgeons (BCPS). He was trained in UK in the field of Paediatric Respiratory Medicine (Pulmonology) in 1994 and joined Dhaka Shishu (Children’s) Hospital in December 1989.

Dr. Amin is now a retired Professor of Paediatric Pulmonology at Dhaka Shishu Hospital and is also the past President and Secretory General of Bangladesh Pediatric Association (BPA). He is now serving as the Vice-President of Bangladesh College of Physicians & Surgeons (BCPS) and contributed to significant development of postgraduate medical education. Dr. Amin continues to be a lifelong activist for the welfare and rights of children in Bangladesh.
