Diagnostic test is an important tool to identify the cause of infectious disease by demonstrating the presence, absence or evidence of previous existence of pathogens. To make it more useful, tools must be precise, simple and affordable for the people where it is required. CHRF is providing its effort to establish rational and useful tools to improve diagnostics since decade, to help to avoid the financial and human costs associated with incorrect diagnoses, which can include poor patient care, unnecessary complications, suffering and, in some circumstances, even death. In the course of improved diagnostic, we contributed significantly to improve the detection of meningitis cases. Currently we are working to evaluate the detection system of Salmonella typhi.
